wang rong is a young researcher and doctoral supervisor at the department of environmental science and engineering, fudan university. he was selected for the national high-level young talent program in 2018. he is mainly engaged in research in the fields of atmospheric chemistry, carbon cycle, earth system, climate change, and energy transition. so far, he has published more than 100 papers, among which, in recent years, he has published research papers related to climate change and energy transition as an independent corresponding author in nature (2, reported by special reviews), joule (reported by special reviews), pnas (2), nature geoscience, nature communications, etc., and put forward important ideas such as "climate change tipping point of socio-economic system", "optimal path for carbon neutrality in china", and "energy efficiency induced mechanism for carbon emission reduction". he was awarded the "outstanding contribution award" for global science and technology innovation by the united nations industrial development organization, the "outstanding young scientist award" for asian aerosols, and the youth award for environmental chemistry by the chinese chemical society.
