fu bojie, male, born in 1958, is a researcher at the ecological environment research center of the chinese academy of sciences, director of the academic committee, and honorary minister of the department of geographic science of beijing normal university. cas member, foreign academician of the american academy of humanities and sciences, academician of the third world academy of sciences, foreign academician of the royal society of edinburgh, uk, and an honorary member of the royal geographical society, uk. he is also the vice chairman of the international geographical union and the chairman of the board of supervisors of the chinese geographical society.
he is mainly engaged in the research of physical geography and landscape ecology and has made systematic innovation achievements in land use structure and ecological process, landscape ecology, and ecosystem services. he has published more than 400 academic papers, including more than 300 papers and 12 books in sci journals including nature, science, nature geoscience, nature climate change, etc. he won the humboldt medal of the european union of geosciences, the annual figure for cctv's scientific and technological innovation, and the outstanding national professional and technical talents. he has won the second prize of the national natural science award twice, the second prize of the national science and technology progress award, the outstanding scientific and technological achievement award of the chinese academy of sciences, the heliang heli science and technology progress award, the chinese environmental excellence award and the outstanding contribution award of the international society for landscape ecology.
