recently, professor cheng xiuwen from the college of earth and environmental sciences of lanzhou university submitted the research paper entitled" construction of cuo@cus/pvdf composite membrane and its superiority for degradation of antibiotics by activation of persulfate " to the chemical engineering journal (if2020=10.652), which has been officially accepted and published online.
liu yu, an undergraduate majoring in environmental engineering in the college of earth and environmental sciences, is the first author of the paper, and associate professor gou jianfeng and professor cheng xiuwen are joint corresponding authors. in order to solve the problem of frequent detection of residual antibiotics in water, the researchers designed and synthesized a cuo@cus/pvdf composite catalytic film. they explored the structure-activity relationship between the microstructure surface composition and morphology catalytic performance of it, clarified the mechanism of improving the efficiency of activated persulfate in the treatment of antibiotics, and analyzed the contribution of different active species such as·oh、1o2*and so4·-on the degradation efficiency of antibiotics. the degradation pathway and toxicity evolution of antibiotics in water (fig. 1) were proposed, which provided technical support for the advanced treatment of micropollutants in water.
the water treatment and resource utilization research team led by cheng xiuwen has been engaged in the research on advanced water treatment, development and application of environmental functional materials, and published more than 90 research papers in international journals such as applied catalysis b: environmental、journal of hazardous materials and chemical engineering journal. this is the sixth sci paper published in an international journal by an undergraduate under the guidance of the research group.
chemical engineering journal is a high-level academic journal sponsored by the elsevier publishing group. its impact factor of 2020 is 10.652. jcr of chinese academy of sciences: engineering technology q1.
in addition, the core technology of the paper has declared the national invention patent and has won the success in the fifth internet plus, the first gqn areas innovation and entrepreneurship competition, and other university student innovation and entrepreneurship training programs. combining scientific research with mass entrepreneurship and innovation, the cultivation of undergraduate students and the practical ability of scientific research innovation and entrepreneurship are effectively optimized.
