on june 202019, prof. yan tao from college of earth and environmental sciences, lanzhou university, associate professor xiuge zhao from chinese research academy of environmental sciences, and senior engineer yu chen from chinese society for environmental sciences, went to shanhe primary school, zhengning county, qingyang city, gansu province, to donate books and give lectures on environment and health. yangfeng fan, deputy secretary of the party committee of zhengning education bureau, youyun ren, president of shanhe primary school, as well as more than 200 teachers and students attended the activity.
at the beginning, the young pioneers of shanhe primary school wore red scarves to welcome the guests. then, the delegation donated books about environment and health to president ren. during the interaction section, the students were encouraged to read more books, to learn from ancient sage and face troubles bravely, to pursue a perfect personality and seek for knowledge with perseverance.
finally, a theme of “garbage classification, easy to do”, was shared by prof. tao to show what was garbage classification, as well as why and how to classify garbage. through the lecture, the pupils learnedmuch knowledge about environmental protection, which would equip them for life.
