on june 19, 2021, the 4th boyada cup national territorial and spatial planning skills competition for college students was held at the china university of mining and technology.

a total of 225 works from 112 colleges and universities participated in the competition, and 60 outstanding works were selected to reach the finals. ma guoqiang, huang yinzhou, and zhang xiangde served as instructors, and a team of four undergraduates shi wenqian, kong dezhen, liang kunyu, and yuan jing, majoring in human geography and urban-rural planning, completed the planning work " relying on water and sunlight, family on the river- master plan of baichuan village, taiji town, yongjing county (2021-2035) " won the second prize of the final.

the 4th national territorial and spatial planning skills competition for college students was sponsored by the ministry of education’s public management discipline professional teaching guidance committee, the national land resource management dean (department director) joint meeting, and the land planning branch of the china land society and was organized by the school of management, the school of environment and surveying and mapping, and the school of architecture and design, china university of mining and technology, and the china resource-based city transformation development and rural revitalization research center. with the theme of "ecological civilization, rural revitalization and village planning", the competition is a national land and space planning skills competition for full-time undergraduate students majoring in land resource management and related majors, with the core of exploring land and space planning theory, improving planning practice skills and displaying village planning scheme.

since the start of the competition on march 27, the team members have actively overcome many problems, obtained first-hand data through multiple field investigations, deeply analyzed and thought about the current situation and problems of the village, and used various methods such as drones and field exploration. guided by the concept of "village revitalization" and "ecological civilization", the team completed a land and space planning work containing 116 pages of planning text and 18 planning atlases. this is the first time that our college participated in the space planning competition and won the second prize, which reflects the scientific research ability and education and teaching level of urban and rural planning major of our college.
