on july 12th,the unveiling ceremony ofthe institute for qilian mountain research-zhangye base,lanzhou university,was held with the opening ceremony of the practice teaching base in earth science organized jointly by lanzhou university and the institute of hydrogeology and engineering geological prospecting of gansu provincial bureau of geology and mineral resources.
the establishmentof the base will further strengthen the scientific and academic exchanges between the two institutions and benefit to the regional economic construction and development. by jointly applying for science and technology projects and establishing a mechanism for sharing scientific and technological achievements, it is possible to promote cooperation in a higher level and broader field, which will support, serve and promote local social development and fully contribute to the ecological environmental protection of qilian mountain.
