lecturer profile:
li dewen is a researcher at the national institute of natural hazards(formerly the institute of crustal dynamics, china earthquake administration) and a level 1 seismic hazard assessment engineer. he obtained his bachelor's degree from east china university of technology in 1990, and his master's and doctoral degrees from peking university in 1997 and 2000, respectively. he has successively worked at nanjing university, the institute of tibetan plateau research, chinese academy of sciences, china earthquake disaster prevention center, and the national institute of natural hazards of the ministry of emergency management. he has long been engaged in research on geomorphology and quaternary geology, has successively presided six projects funded by the national natural science foundation of china, published more than 50 articles, and received awards such as the excellent doctoral thesis award from peking university and the excellent postdoctoral award from nanjing university. he is also a member of the commission on geomorphology and quaternary studies of the geographical society of china, the commission on the applied quaternary of the quaternary science research society of china, and the commission on the earthquake geology professional of the seismological society of china.
