liu gang is a long-appointed professor at the college of urban and environmental studies of peking university, a double-appointed professor at the carbon neutral research institute, and a selected candidate for the national talent program. he is mainly engaged in research on resource security, industrial ecology and urban recycling, and low-carbon development. he is currently the director of the international society of industrial ecology, the director of the chinese society of natural resources, the deputy director and secretary-general of the research committee on resource flow and management, the co-editor-in-chief of the journal of industrial ecology, and the editorial board member of more than ten major journals in the field of sustainable development of resources and environment. he received the robert a. laudise award from the international society for industrial ecology for his outstanding contributions to the field of industrial ecology, the james j. morgan young scientist award from environmental science & technology for his creative leadership in the analysis of environmental systems, and the best research award from the digital built environment conference. award. he has published more than 130 papers in top journals at home and abroad, including nature climate change, nature food, nature communications, one earth, and proceedings of the chinese academy of sciences, and has been invited to serve as a consultant for international institutions such as fao, world bank, oecd, iea, and eu joint research center.
