expert profile:
wang xiuxi, associate professor and master supervisor, college of earth and environment. during the doctoral period, he participated in the national government-sponsored graduate program. from september 2008 to october 2009, he attended the school of earth sciences, university of bologna, italy, to learn the relevant knowledge and experimental technology of low-temperature thermochronology. his cooperative supervisor was associate professor massimiliano zattin. at the end of 2009, massimiliano zattin was appointed full professor at the university of padova. associate professor wang xiuxi and professor massimiliano zattin have maintained a cooperative relationship. the cooperation between the two parts focused on the fine chronological framework of the tectonic uplifting process in the northeastern margin of the tibetan plateau. the complete chronological sequence from the cretaceous to neogene has been established and their own views have been formed based on these. the achievements and knowledge have been published in six sci papers, which also communicated and cooperated with each other on the dating of geomorphology, trying to break through the bottleneck problem restricting the development of tectonic-scale stratified landforms. after continuous exploration and communication in recent years, the techniques and methods have matured and two papers have been written. some results have been published in international sci journals such as global planetary change, tectonics, tectonophysics, geomorphology, journal of asian earth sciences, etc.
the current main research direction of associate professor wang xiuxi is tectonic geomorphology evolution and low-temperature thermochronology. he has presided over two national natural science foundation projects, participated in several key projects of the national natural science foundation, strategic pilot projects of the chinese academy of sciences, and 973 project of the ministry of science and technology.
lecture introduction:
this lecture takes the "3 1 1" project of the college of earth and environment of lanzhou university and the school of earth sciences of the university of padova, italy, as an example, and introduces in depth the process, learning, and rewards, as well as the considerations of studying abroad, taking into account the feedback from previous students who participated in the program.
through several sets of data, including the input-output ratio of domestic universities, the news media surveys of chinese young people's view of the west, and the survey by national think tanks of post-00s undergraduates' understanding of the world. undergraduates are encouraged to break through the information silkworm room, actively prepare to study abroad, broaden their horizons, improve their innovation ability, and become top innovative talents in basic disciplines.
undergraduates can sign up for lectures through the "todream space" system and will be awarded one growth of thought category point. all interested students are welcome to participate actively.
