shao xuemei is a researcher at the institute of geographic sciences and natural resources research, chinese academy of sciences. chinese academy of sciences university position professor, doctoral supervisor. lead author, chapter v, ipcc ar5 working group i report. participated in the national 973 qinghai-tibet project, the knowledge innovation direction project of the chinese academy of sciences, and hosted the natural science foundation project. studies past climate change, mainly using surrogate data to reconstruct climate change over the past 2000 years. he won the second prize in the national natural science award (2012).
