fu qiaomei, a researcher at the institute of vertebrate paleontology and paleoanthropology, chinese academy of sciences, director of the laboratory of molecular paleontology, recipient of the national natural science foundation of china distinguished young fund, young corresponding member of the academy of sciences for the developing world (twas), and hhmi international young scholar at howard hughes medical institute, usa. she has long been engaged in evolutionary and population genetics research and has made many breakthroughs in the exploration of human origin and evolution around ancient dna. she has published 61 sci papers in nature, science, cell, and other international journals, with a total impact factor of more than 1000 and more than 7000 citations, and her achievements have been selected as one of nature's "top ten scientific events of 2014" and "top ten advances in chinese science of 2020", which are evaluated to have greatly enriched the detailed knowledge of the human evolutionary process. for her outstanding achievements, she was named one of the "top 10 science stars of china" by nature, and was awarded the "china may fourth youth medal", the "15th china youth science and technology award - special award ". she has been awarded the china may fourth youth medal, the 15th china youth science and technology award - special award, the first science discovery award, and the chen jiageng youth science award.
