Matebeleland break away news seems to be getting stronger each day, some heads are expected to roll over it. The tribal agenda which now seems to be attracting attention from the region's traditional leaders is now becoming a total nonsense, that need condemnation in any possible stronger term by the ruling Zanu pf.
In a statement which was published on Friday, Matebeleland South Chief, the son of the late Chief Khayisa Ndiweni, Makhelithi Ndiweni was quoted as saying the year 2016 shall be a year through which Matebeleland shall be granted a referendum by the government of Zimbabwe to determine their political destination. '' We the sons and daughters of Royalty are advocating for the Restoration of Mthwakazi State, that is under Zimbabwean colonisation, please I appeal to the Government of Zimbabwe to give the people of Mthwakazi an opportunity to decide the destiny,” he said. “We are tired of being marginalised and being treated as second class citizens and therefore we want a referendum in 2016 to decide our future,” Ndiweni added. Referring to the state of Zimbabwe under the government the government of Mugabe, Ndiweni said it was a government of Zimbabwe ruins which had no legitimate powers over the people of Matebeleland.
Mean-while, a list of people whose heads shall roll over Matebeleland break-away agenda is doing rounds on social networks. These include the leader of Mthwakazi Liberation Front, Fidelis Ncube, popularly known as General Nandinandi, Matebeleland businessman and Matebeleland chief in diaspora, Chief Albert Gumede, MLF' spokesperson, David Magagula. Also on the list, are Mxolisi Ncube and Mkhululi Chimoio who were both implicated in the Baba Jukwa odeal and their inclusion in the list purported to a counter measure to Mthwakazi restoration agenda, leaves a lot to be desired as the duo have in the past been anti Mthwakazi formation. It remains not clear whether their inclusion has anything to do with the Baba Jukwa ordeal or they have now join Mthwakazi activism or it is only a sight blowing action only meant to obstruct minds of all those who come across the “HIT LIST” from the reality to follow.
Cementing the truth behind the list, a previous report by Energy Mutodi which said Zanu was wary of the relationship that MLF was establishing with the South African Zulus nation, through chief Albert Gumede, which has seen the Zulu chief attending a number of Mthwakazi meetings organised by the front.
