In Pursuit of Mthwakazi Self-determination aka Restoration
Published: 04 January 2017 | by Mnu Ngazimbi

Taking note of the routes taken by various pro-Mthwakazi Organizations, it is clear the foundation has been laid. If we were to collect all documents these organizations compiled and summarize their content, we would find that almost all passed the same information and sent the info to appropriate destinations all for a good cause.

The difference lies in the differing of these organizations’ constitutions, what each organization stands for, though all of them are about “Mthwakazi Restoration”. All these groups share a common factor-that they want to “achieve the Restoration Goal in a Peaceful Manner”.

My question is: “Why then don’t they put all their resources together and find common ground to launch a strong, aggressive united front that will shake even the strongest world powers”?

 Just a few facts:-

(1). UMhlahlo Wesizwe crafted a strong document and submitted to various and appropriate bodies, but couldn’t push to finish what they had stated because they ran out of resources.

(2). Certain individuals who understood the UMhlahlo concept instead of carrying forward a well-crafted master piece, went to form MLF. MLF compiled powerful documents and submitted thse to various and appropriate bodies but not much has come out of it. They had an idea of uniting all pro-Mthwakazi groups at Chitawa but some groups reneged on the agreement afterwards.

(3). Yes, we know that the Khumalo clan have been engaged in a process to bring forth a King from the house of King Lobhengula. The process has really dragged for too long, even they keep on saying things must done orderly, it might happen that their choice is not prepared to take the risk of championing the Restoration Agenda. Then Raphael Stanley Khumalo steps up to the plate and offers to take the lead and people mock him and treat him like a nobody. To this I will quote the scripture that say “The rock that all builders rejected has become the cornerstone) of their temple/house”.

The above measures and many others were perfect instances to unite Mthwakazi and create a national driven programme that would have made Zanu withdraw all their deployed personnel from our territory. It seems these groups are very selfish that if one comes up with a working idea, the other groups will not give support just because they are in a competing mode.

The truth is, if we really are committed to Self-Determination, we should create a strong driving organization composed of differing Pro-Mthwakazi groups exerting pressure on Zanu, Britain, the UN and all other superpowers to make them recognize our plight and the need for our freedom.

We are now at a critical stage of our struggle where we should sacrifice all. It is a do or die for us to save our Nation and future of generations. We need to come up with a kind of strategy that will liberate us fully. Zanu has destroyed the last hope of a better economic relationship with the entire world. And this, is our time to rise, build our own investment dealings with the world around us, use the situation to pressurize our oppressors to let us free and put up a document that shows our ability to govern ourselves in a much better way.

At this stage the solution is to bring all pro-Mthwakazi stake-holders together and create a two-fold interim Council that will involve all stake holders and that will aim at structuring and governing Mthwakazi in all spheres. Two-fold in this way: -

(1)   A delegation team composed of Lawyers and Historians. This team will be meant to put pressure on Zanu, Britain and the UN to spell out the last of the least of our troubles since 1893 till today, unfolding every event of human right violation, murder, torture, degrading of dignity, the massacre of our people, de-industrialization of our region, destroying of our languages and cultures by deploying Zanu/Shona personnel in all influential positions like schools-security services etc.

As we stand, the power of the King is a break through. If we rally behind Raphael Stanley Khumalo as a nation, we can follow his word of revoking all agreements that were done without the Matebele people’s consent. Using his revocation, the legal team can achieve a lot.

(2)   The other team will be set to strategize the developmental infrastructure. This team must take care of raising funds to afford the payment of the legal team and form an interim governing structure. The governing structure will have within it a lobby team that is supposed to build relationships with world governments in terms of lobbying investors and arranging business deals. This team is supposed to set up development projects that will ignite agriculture, industrial development and other major sectors like education, mineral resource exploitation, trade and security.

Even if it means we must deploy our own teachers and set our own institutions that will set up and process examinations for our kids, making friendship with our neighbouring countries to authorise the outcome of such examinations.

If we show a united front, Zanu will withdraw its personnel even from the borders and our movement will not be interrupted, so dealing with our neighbours won’t be that hard. I remember well the pressure of the 70s left the borders unattended. The same can happen only if we confront Zanu as a united front. If we approach Britain to lift the “Rule by Conquest” of theirs, Zanu will have no power on us as we will give them pressure to take their personnel to the Jameson Line, that’s where we will meet them whenever we want to make deals with them.

Mthwakazi Citizenry who are abroad eagerly want to come and invest home but with the current state of affair it’s all chaos. If we push well, we could negotiate with our neighbouring states to assist us by allowing us to be using their currencies until we get stable economy. I think it would work better to use a neighbouring currency than the Zanu style of basket thing.

The fear that was instilled in us has made us not to trust one another, but the reality is once we form a united front nothing will shake us, and we can turn things around in less than five years. We can rebuild our nation within five years, with everything, economy wise and infrastructure etc.
