'Congratulations to my gal Berita for best Afro pop album!' Oscar Mdlongwa popularly known as Oskido exclaimed after Berita the songbird won the best Afro pop album at the Metro Awards 2013. As we predicted here at uMthwakazi Review, Berita Khumalo has precisely done it.

These are just but humble beginnings because the sky is the limit for her. Berita thanked God and dedicated her award to her supporters, whom she affectionately call 'teamberita'. This is an innovative way of appreciating and involving her fans in her musical experience and musical journey.

Leading to the Awards Berita criss-crossed the breadth and length of South Africa, conducted interviews with big and small media outlets, performed in small and big venues.

Her humbleness if she continues in this way will ensure that she moves from strength to strength. She has the talent, she now has a firm support base which she needs to cultivate and grow. She has her guitar, which she needs to hold dear okwezikhali zamaNtungwa.
