Am I a tribalist? No. Harare's educated folks are.
Mugabe we now call a monster was created by the HARARE ELITE! They are the ones who helped him in his desire to create a one party state and used our ignorant parents to fight Zapu. Mugabe was worshipped and shielded from reality by the educated Harare folks. It was these educated fellas who went all over kumamisha telling our parents 'Pasi naNgomo nemaNdevere'. They made us hate each other so that Zapu would not share political positions with them.
You have seen YouTube videos of your parents shamelessly dancing denouncing Nkomo and Ndebeles, is that me in those videos? Its your parents urged on by the educated folks. That's what we call tribalism!! Let me repeat it, Harare's educated folks like Zvobgo and Ushewokunze and others, created and thrived under Mugebe, and hence enhanced tribal hatred and corruption, dictatorship. I have Iong said stop worshipping leaders.
I long advocated for unity among our people and long said l will not stop highlighting disparities in l note in our conduct. Is that being a tribalist or dividing you?
The educated always use subtle and covert means to hide their tribalism. In Zanu it was blunt and the new educated elite, smart, covert and subtle will use sweet sounding democratic words to demonise those highlighting their wrongs as tribalists. Harare folks, should stop behaving like angels.
When Pius Ncube was scandalised over a woman, we all turned against him and he was completely silenced. On the other hand when something similar happened to Tsvangiarai, he was instead lionised as Bhuru, a real man, indoda sibili doing what he must do. When Welshman Ncube parted ways with Tsvangiarai, he was demonised and called all sorts of names and almost isolated. Even MT kept himself closer to Mugabe than Ncube in the GNU. Did the same name calling happen to Biti and Mangoma?
When Ncube calls for a coalition, he is begging for relevance but when its Biti, he is ok and wants unity! Really? Should we be blind to that disparity? When corruption is so pervasive and even the international community lists many leaders as corrupt, why do Harare voices of democracy focus on Mphoko's shops, should I be blind to that? Harare folks, please don think some of us are blind to reality. When a Ndebele person aspires to lead a party it is tribalism, but when a Shona fella does it is only splitting votes?
Is that so? Munopenga! Educated people are dangerous. You created Gukurahundi and led to the split of MDC and now think you can just go about using subtle means to dictate the pace of democracy to suit your agendas. I had only asked why Byo fellas had no help since last week they have been languishing in prison, and yet you had all rallied around the Pastor, lol, from your hiding you emerge wearing tribal armour to call me a tribalist?
Did you have to wait to for our pleas and such post to realise that Byo folks are in prison for democracy and are also Zimbabweans? Stop behaving like our yesteryear educated Zanu parents.
All I want is us to realise and accept our diversity and treat each other as equal, the famous and the poor, Ndebele and Shona, white and black. Don't pretend to be holier and to be good at name calling. Don't perpetuate what you claim to hate in Zanu. Tribalism will one day engulf our kids, as we have watched in other countries. Stop saying every concern raised is tribalism.
Zimbabwe is my Motherland. Every other country is just a 'Socio-economic home'. I want a Zimbabwe that accepts you and I for who we are as equals and not wearing tribal lenses. If we don't do that we create more monsters.
If David Cameron can wake up saying, ' I am leaving power, I have played my role and have had enough', why can’t Mugabe and Tsvangirai do the same? If Gordon Brown could be Prime Minister of the UK, why can’t Prof Ncube, Dabengwa, Mphoko and any of my madzitezvaras anasaMaNyika?
Stop the nonsense of seeing yourselves as the owners of the democracy and believing that you should not be held accountable for your divisive and inept conduct. I am always and will always be watching you. Byo folks, stop behaving as if life and leadership begins and ends in Harare! In your idiocy you even forget Byo has a very huge Shona population suffering along with the Ndebeles, so what tribalism can I stand for? All I want is to see a united Zimbabwe my kids will be proud of.Yes, ndini ndadaro. Yimi engitsho njalo
